About the Owner

I’ve been a student and lover of art since I was a child. I focused on art throughout my studies and received my BSEd. in art education from the University of Georgia in 1999. My background in art education gave me wide exposure to many different aspects of the artistic process: color and design theory, the quirks of different media, and the sometimes-difficult art of communicating your vision. As I created more and framed my own pieces, I realized how important presentation and conservation are to both the artist and the collector. I became more and more interested in custom framing as a way to enhance and protect the things that inspire people every day.

I moved to San Diego from the Deep South five years ago; prior to that I was the proverbial “starving artist” moving around the country. I’ve been living and working in North Park since I arrived, which I think is the coolest place to be in S.D. as an artist and a business owner!
